Patch the Flat Traveller

 This is Patch. He is the Flat Traveller we made for the first of our swapping adventures with the Facebook group, Homeschool Swapping Adventures. The idea comes from the novel, Flat Stanley, in which Stanley, having been flattened, is posted to visit his friend in America.

We arranged our first swap with a family in Iowa and Patch (and Hannah) studied the atlas to see where he was going.

Then we prepared a journal with questions we wanted to ask his hosts about themselves, their home and their lives and a passport and sent him off on March 5th.

On March 14th, Sara, Sabrina and Ashlyn arrived at our house on a red London bus and have participated in our lives for almost two weeks. We have a couple more places we want to take them then will send them home and share their adventures here so their family can read all about them.
